Event Fact Sheet

20 years and over 12,000 Company Picnics, Company Parties and Corporate Events for Company Event Planners in Los Angeles and Orange County, Southern California

That's a long time and a lot of Event Experience!

Here are some Event Facts, things we have learned in the last 20 years
helping Company Event Planners with their Company Events. We hope thes Event
Facts will be of some help for you as the Event Planner.

  • Events in private locations promote camaraderie - the amusement parks do not.
  • For family events, Sunday afternoons and Saturday evenings get the highest attendance.
Keep registration simple – don’t make standing in line the impression.
  • Your enthusiastic event promotion makes a difference in attendance.
  • Make sure directions to your event site are clear and available.
  • A warm greeting by executives at the reception area is important for the executives.
  • You will need wristbands (or some form of identification) if your event is in a public facility.
  • Make sure all your vendors carry LIABILITY INSURANCE and WORKERS COMP INSURANCE.
  • Sports tournaments should have the rules adjusted for time constraints.
  • Professional entertainers make a big difference.
  • A no-host bar is a great way to provide alcoholic beverage service responsibly.
  • Your event site should be safe and secure.
  • A professional company can promptly provide proof of insurance.
  • Don’t complain the day after your event! If something doesn’t seem right at your event tell your event coordinator so they can take care of it right away.
  • Always serve hot dogs when kids are at the event.
  • Make sure your food is coming from a Health Department approved kitchen.
  • Food should be prepared fresh on site.
  • Vegetarians eat too – plan for it.
  • Gratuity and service charges added to special events are not necessary.
  • Require security when serving alcohol.
  • Your guests will drive if they perceive value.
  • “Free” entertainment – it can be a bust. BEWARE
  • The best way to kill an event is with a long raffle. 20 minutes is long enough.
  • Pass out giveaway items, as your guests leave the event.
  • Happy kids mean happy parents – keep the kids busy.
